The discussion between the CECCAR management and the branches’ delegates resulted in a change to the date on which professional accountants annually celebrate the “National Day of the Romanian Accountant”. The event, which is celebrated simultaneously all around the country under the auspices of the CECCAR branches, to promote the professional accountant’s image, interests and role in a competitive market economy, will take place on 13 July from this year forward. 97 years ago, on 13 July 1921, King Ferdinand I approved the Law on the organization of the Body of Licensed Accountants and Expert Accountants in Romania, as an independent professional body, through Royal Decree no. 3036, thus regulating the accounting profession in our country.
