The Intergovernmental Working Group of Experts on International Standards of Accounting and Reporting (ISAR) Conference attached to the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) held its 33rd Annual Conference in Geneva, between 4 and 6 October 2016.
The two main topics on the conference agenda were: key foundations of high-quality reporting – practical implementation of the monitoring of compliance and enforcement of accounting and audit requirements for high-quality reporting, and enhancing the role of reporting in attaining the Sustainable Development Goals: Integration of the environmental, social and governance information into companies’ reporting.
The ISAR-UNCTAD Conference was preceded by the Workshop on the 3rd of October on Recent developments on International Financial Reporting Standards. The working agenda included discussions on trends in wider corporate reporting, IFRS 15 and IFRS 16.
