The Romanian Government has approved a series of amendments and additions to GD No. 1570/2022 and GD No. 1571/2022, normative acts regulating the framework for the implementation of the interventions financed through the CAP Strategic Plan 2023–2027. According to a press release from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MADR), through these updates, the institution aims to clarify and simplify procedures, the alignment with version 7.1 of the Strategic Plan, and strengthen transparency and compliance with European legislation.
For the rural development component (EAFRD), rules are introduced to clarify definitions, expressly mention compliance with the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights, uniform rules for situations where applicants become insolvent or bankrupt before contracting, updating the provisions on technical assistance and social conditionality, and publishing information on beneficiaries in accordance with (EU) Regulation 2021/2116.
