The Chamber of Hungarian Auditors (MKVK) celebrated its 20th Anniversary on the occasion of its annual Conference that took place on 12-13 June 2017, in Budapest. The conference included a mixture of presentations and roundtable discussions that gathered representatives of Accountancy Europe, the Hungarian Minister of National Economy and experts of MKVK around several main topics:
- Sharing experiences from the implementation of audit reform in Europe, looking at the impact on the profession, discussing initial reactions of the market;
- The future of auditing, with special regard to technological developments and to XYZ generation issues;
- Changes in corporate reporting, users’ expectations, integrated reporting;
- Increasing expectations of regulators in the financial sector regarding scope of auditors’ regulatory reporting.
This year, the Body of Expert and Licensed Accountants of Romania was represented at the MKVK conference by delegates of the Timis, Harghita and Covasna branches of CECCAR.
