On June 5, 2013, the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) will host in Kampala, Uganda, the IFAC Small and Medium Practices Forum 2013, together with the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda (ICPAU), and the Pan African Federation of Accountants (PAFA).
The forum will bring together regional and national accountancy organizations, standard setters, and other interested parties to discuss how to address the challenges and opportunities facing small- and medium-sized practices (SMPs) and small- and medium-sized entities (SMEs), with a focus on those in Africa.
The 2013 forum has the following objectives:
1. Unite the global SMP community 2. Contribute to the prioritization of future IFAC SMP initiatives 3. Facilitate discussion and debate, and the sharing of best practices and ideas 4. Provide opportunities for networking and collaborationThe agenda will include discussion on the following key topics:
