The Accountants Association in Poland (SKwP) held the Congress Accounting – Vision of the Future on 5-6 June 2017, in Warsaw, under the patronage of the Ministry of Finance in Poland. The event gathered representatives of the Ministry of Finance, IFAC, IASB and other accounting organisations representatives in the region, including the Romanian profession which was represented by Ms Mariana Bunea, member of the CECCAR Permanent Bureau.
In 2017, SKwP celebrates the 110th Anniversary of the professional accountants’ movement. Therefore, the Association has taken many initiatives to specially mark this jubilee, among other things with a series of professional and scientific conferences, organized jointly with the universities and the regional branches of the Association, the Congress of Polish Accountancy being the highlight of the celebrations.
The aim of the Congress was a comprehensive overview of the accounting profession, showing its achievements, organizational and social activities of accountants as well as pointing the directions of further development of science and practice of accounting and the two plenary sessions focused on business in the future and on the relation profession – law – science.
