In a recent article released in the online magazine Financial News and quoted by the IFAC monthly Digest, there is a brief overview of Svein Andresen, Secretary general of the FSB and Deutsche Bank’s chief regulatory officer view on the current state of financial regulations.
In his opinion “Without common minimum standards, the systems that we have in place today, which everyone benefits from, is not a viable system” and there was now “a recognition” within financial services of the need for global standards.
