Accountancy Europe released a follow-up to its 2015 Cogito paper, The Future of Corporate Reporting – creating the dynamics for change. This new publication presents a summary of the responses received to the first paper in writing as well as during several public and private events.
According to the Accountancy Europe press release, there are “three main topics for f
urther development to move the future of corporate reporting forward:
- Elaborate the CORE & MORE concept
- Support the coordination and development of non-financial information reporting
- Further research the impact and opportunities of technology as a driver and enabler of reporting change”.
For each of these topics detailed in the follow-up paper, there are relevant quotes from respondents (which include preparers, users, auditors, regulators, academics, and policy makers from across Europe) as well as recommendations in the areas mentioned above.
