The mission of the IAAER (the International Association for Accounting Education and Research) is to promote excellence in accounting education and research on a worldwide basis and to maximize the contribution of accounting academics to the development and maintenance of high quality, globally recognized standards of accounting practice.
During 2017 IAAER will co-sponsor two conferences and other related workshops. The first conference will be jointly hosted with SAAA (Southern African Accounting Association) and AAFA (African Accounting and Finance Association) in Drakensberg, South Africa 28-30 June, and the second conference will be co-hosted with Cracow University on 26-27 September 2017.
On 5-6 June 2017, IAAER and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) will host a Central and Eastern European Emerging Accounting Scholars Research Workshop. This workshop will be held in conjunction with the AMIS 2017 International Conference organized by the Bucharest University of Economic Studies.
