From Monday, February 23rd, 2026, economic operators will have access to a new electronic system developed at national level – The National System for Uniform User Management and Digital Signature (UUM&DS-RO), announced the Romanian Customs Authority (AVR) in a press release. “The new system will provide economic operators with a single point of access for authentication for the use of EU customs systems (CD – Customs Decisions, eBTI – Electronic Management System for Binding Tariff Information, eAEO – Authorized Economic Operator Management System, INF – Information System, STI-STP – Share Trade Interface, PoUS – Proof of Union Status, REX, etc.). Currently, the connection to the EU’s central customs systems is achieved through the European UUM&DS system, centrally administered by the European Commission, with authentication performed using an account created in EU Login. The national UUM&DS-RO application will replace the European Commission’s central system,” the press release states.
