We are delighted to bring to your attention the publication of the “Growing the global economy through SMEs” research paper issued by the Edinburgh Group. For this study, CECCAR made available to its SMP members the Romanian version of the online survey, which was completed by an impressive number of respondents.
This survey was conducted in early 2013. SMPs from over 70 countries on all continents were surveyed, with a particularly strong response rate from South Africa (24.1%), the UK (21.6%) and the Republic of Ireland (16.8%), and with good responses also being received from Romania (6.9%) and Turkey (4.6%).
The Edinburgh Group, which comprises 14 accountancy bodies from across the world, including CECCAR (the Body of Expert and Licensed Accountants of Romania) conducted a new research among SMPs in order to understand the opportunities and challenges faced by their SME clients. The results of this survey were published as a global report that includes findings and recommendations, highlighting the needs of SMEs in conducting international business and the role of SMPs in supporting these activities.
