On 17-19 October 2016, the President of the Body of Expert and Licensed Accountants of Romania attended the 17th Annual Auditing Conference of the Chamber of the National Chamber of Statutory Auditors (KiBR) that took place in the vicinity of Warsaw and brought together, within the 6 debating panels, representatives of regional professional bodies, members of KiBR governing structures, representatives of governmental institutions, of the academic environment, from Big4, expertise and IT companies.
Over the 3-day working agenda, the panellists addressed several matters: the subsequent actions after the audit reform – what new services are demanded by the market, how will audit standards change and what are the new trends in the communication with stakeholders; risks for the statutory auditor; data security and security measures; geopolitical and macroeconomic environment of the economic development and its influence on the audit of financial statements; audit firms in the new regulatory practice.
