On 28-30 September 2016, the Order of Expert Accountants in France organized an exceptional edition of the annual Congress of the French profession, which was hosted in Belgium at the Brussels Exhibition Centre. The 71st edition of the Expert Accountants Congress took up a purely technical main topic Accounting Expert – Taxation Expert. CECCAR was present at this landmark event for the international accounting profession through its representative in the FIDEF Board.
As CSOEC President, Mr Philippe Arraou, stated before the Congress ‘taxation and its close connection to accounting’ are at the core of our ‘profession’s DNA’. Having this statement as a starting point, the Congress aimed at bringing proposals for reform and simplification of European fiscal regulations.
